Panicky State of Americans that So Willingly
Started Two Wars Killing Hundreds of Thousands

For a nation that so willingly started two wars killing hundreds of thousands in Afghanistan and Iraq, it was somewhat ironic that they panic so easily. The nation was in panic for weeks following an attempt by a Nigerian to detonate an explosive device on a Northwest Airlines flight from Amsterdam to Detroit on December 25, 2009. Three recent examples of that "brave" conduct by Americans so willing to start wars in Afghanistan and Iraq were seen in the first week of January 2010.

  • At the Bakersfield, California airport, the terminal was closed for hours after honey in a passenger's baggage was thought to be an explosive substance.

  • In another incident at Newark, New Jersey, all the terminals were shut down and people evacuated, for hours, when a man walked by the security gate to wish his girlfriend goodbye.

  • In a third incident, at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, a bomb-sniffing dog detected what was thought to be explosives in a piece of luggage. The airport terminal was rapidly evacuated and many flights were delayed.

This type of panic, resulting from trivial matters, repeatedly occurred at airports throughout the United States since 9/11.
