Congress' Continued Ludicrous
Puppet-Like Performance At
State of the Union Speeches

During President Barack Obama's State of the Union Address, most members of Congress acted, again, like mindless puppets. At the end of almost every sentence uttered by the president, repeating what the president's speech writers had prepared, members of Congress jumped to their feet and clapped wildly.
 
They acted like a group of young  and mindless children that had suddenly each been given a case of their favorite candy. And this wild jumping to their feet happened dozens of times during the president's state of the union address.

This puppet-like, child-like, occurrence happened in prior presidents state of the union speeches, including the time that President Bush repeated lie after lie to get the United States into a deadly war with Iraq.

An automatic clapping machine could have clapped without interruption from the first sentence of the speech to the last, and it wouldn't have been clapping much longer than the clapping that did occur. 

The spectacle reflected  the level of intelligence of many of the U.S. politicians, and the level of sophistication of many voters. This lapproval of low level of sophistication by many voters is pathetically obvious with the large number of people thinking that Sarah Palin was, or is, suitable for vice president and president of the United States.

Combine the spectacle of clapping and jumping to their feet members of Congress with its bribe taking from powerful corporate and other interests, and the documented pattern of cover-ups by members of Congress of high-level corruption, and an understanding occur of why the American people have suffered the consequences of serious problems for so long. The American people and the nation have serious problem on their hands.
