Pathetic Understanding of Qualification Level Needed for President

When High Needs Exist for the Presidency, Many Support the Extreme Opposite

On February 5, 2010, Sarah Palin gave a speech in Nashville before a Tea Party group. It again became obvious that she was totally unqualified for any government position dealing with significant national or international matters. When asked questions requiring a specific answer, she had to respond with an off-the-shelf response that consisted of generalities that did not answer the question, as she has repeatedly done in the past.

Her utter lack of competency, and lack of sophistication, requires that anyone in any way thinking or mentioning her as being qualified for vice-president or president of the United States to be equally lacking.  It is troubling that so many people think she is qualified. And also troubling that media people keep raising her name to provide support for someone they know to be unqualified and capable of doing great harm if she, or anyone else so short of knowledge and judgment, should ever be in the White House.

Selecting her as a vice-president candidate reflects upon the intelligence and judgment of Senator John McCain as he ran for president of the United States against Barack Obama.

These are non-partisan comments by someone recognizing the need for at least, a level of intelligence and judgment to meet the most basic qualifications for office. We don't always have that, but Palin's inadequate knowledge and judgment is worse than some of those who previously ran for president.
